Here are some products you should think about as you customize your business insurance policy to fit the needs of your business:

General Liability Insurance

Required in most states. Also known as Commercial General Liability, or CGL, this is one of the most common insurance coverages for businesses big and small alike. This coverage protects your company if a customer or an employee files a claim or a lawsuit against you. Learn more about General Liability insurance.

Commercial Auto Insurance

Do you use a vehicle while conducting business? Did you know that you may not be covered if you have a personal auto insurance policy rather than a commercial auto policy? Unfortunately, many people find out too late that they have the wrong policy. In addition to your vehicles, we can insure trailers if you use one for your business. Learn more about Commercial Auto insurance.

Commercial Property Insurance

Commercial Property insurance generally covers stolen, damaged, or destroyed goods from disasters such as customer and vehicle traffic, theft, wind damage, fire, and lightning. Flood coverage resulting from a storm is typically not included, but can certainly be added.

Business Owner’s Policy

General Liability insurance only protects your business against claims of bodily injury or property destruction suffered by others, while Commercial Property insurance covers your own losses. Also known as BOP, this enhanced coverage joins these two similar coverages into one affordable policy to protect you from others and cover your own assets.

Professional Liability (Errors and Omissions)

Most companies that provide professional services or advice for their customers will need Professional Liability insurance for protection in case a customer is harmed by or dissatisfied with a service that you performed for them, whether you made a mistake or not.

Worker’s Compensation Insurance

If an employee gets injured, you might be liable to pay for court fees, medical fees, lost wages, and the wages of a replacement worker. Whether you are required by law to carry Worker’s Compensation insurance or you simply want to protect your business, this coverage is a smart choice.

Inland Marine Insurance

Covers moveable and specialized property as well as property that is temporarily in the care of your business. So if you have equipment or goods that regularly move from site to site, Inland Marine insurance will protect your property no matter where it is located.

Key Person Life Insurance

Key Person life insurance is essentially life insurance purchased by a company for a key person of that company. The business pays the premium and is the beneficiary of the policy.

Home-Based Business Insurance

Many operate under the false assumption that their homeowner’s policy will cover their home-based business, but estimates show that the majority of home-based business owners are underinsured. Home-based insurance will provide property and liability coverage for your business files, equipment, and practices. Not to mention conducting certain activities, like running a business out of your home, can sometimes void your homeowners policy.

Business Interruption Insurance

Business Interruption coverage is an added provision to your Commercial Property insurance policy that allows your business to bounce back and begin serving your customers as soon as possible following a major event that causes your business to shut down for an extended period of time.
